We are a social enterprise who partner with other organizations to support women who
are recovering from traumatic experiences.
It is our goal to raise funds for facilities and equipment to provide workforce training
and personal development coaching for women who have been marginalized in society.
We also aim to create employment opportunities to empower women. Our ultimate goal is
to increase employment and local food production in the area to help victimized
and marginalized women reach their full potential.
We also partner with bread coin and other non-profit organizations to give back to the
community. GIB (Greenisland Bakery) provided options purchase goods for first responders and
victims of violence, all of whom were at heightened risk during the pandemic.

As noted by several studies, baking is a form of therapy for individuals. It helps calm down both our minds and bodies while also serving as physical therapy for the hands. GreenIsland Bakery is committed to the well-being of one another and as a result hosts baking classes focused specifically on Irish culture.
Our baking classes are meant to serve as a form of relaxation and emersion in Irish culture. Our goal is to share our traditions and heritage with you while also giving you some time to simply enjoy the multiple benefits that come with baking.
Join one of our Irish baking classes and enjoy all that baking has to offer!

GreenIsland Bakery offers a unique program to empower women who have previously experienced gender-based violence, mental health issues, or food insecurity. This 3-month personal and professional development program meets weekly for 90-minute sessions that move the individuals through three different stages.
In Stage 1, the participants will go through a self-discovery and self-awareness journey through coaching. We will explore where you want to go, your skillset, and create a personal and professional development plan.
In Stage 2, we'll explore how to go in the workplace. Specifically, we'll learn business skills including sales, marketing, presenting, financial management, and operations that will assist in the workplace.
Lastly, in Stage 3, we'll take a look at how to bake and share the knowledge of our founder and bakers with you.
We also offer a workplacement program which meets two days a week that includes the following training:
One-to-one coaching and mentoring
Life journey brainstorming and goal setting
Business plan creation
Sales boot camp training
Marketing, presentation, and pitching training
Personal finance training
